Did your cervical check cause contractions?

I was having contractions all day and extreme lower back pain so I went to L&D. Right when we got there my contractions pretty much stopped. Before I left the nurse checked me and right away I had cramps and by the time I got home the contractions picked up. For the last 4 hours I've been up all night nauseous and contracting and just in a lot of pain. I had some bloody mucus. Should I call or go back? Is this just cause she checked me? HELP
