Dry socket

I had a wisdom tooth pulled a week ago then ended up with dry socket they had to pack it for a couple days the clove oil in The packing made me nauseated. When I took the packing out i started with severe pains again so I had to get it repacked now nauseated again . The dr said this is uncommon as to the first packing is usually enough. Now I take this packing out tomorrow but am scared because I drank somethjng cold a lil while ago it went in the socket and it hurt really bad. Any one else had this problem?
