I went in yesterday for my first appointment. I was 12 weeks exactly. I was informed they only really do ultrasounds at 20 weeks unless there's a problem so I was pretty dissapointed. After my exam they were checking for the heart beat and were unable to find it (found out later it was because my bladder was full, oops!). She said let's try something else and took me to do a quick ultrasound. The baby was moving like crazy! It was so exciting! The doctor even laughed and said it had the hiccups, which was odd for a 12 week baby. I was able to take pictures and a video. I think I know now why I've been so tired lately!
