Cramp? Help

Woke up with period like cramps today? Went away and came back a few hours later?

Any ideas?

I have and spoke to my sister who is a midwife who tends to think it's not Braxton Hicks as the cramps are painful and BH aren't (they're just a tightening sensation).  I had backache quite badly yesterday too so she thinks I need to just keep an eye on it as its my body preparing for labour - which could still be a week or more away yet. I'm 36+2.

Early labor can sometimes last days to weeks - sounds like your body is preparing for birth!

Completely normal, they are braxton hicks contractions & softening your cervix!

I mean.. sounds like Braxton hicks. Nothing to worry about just sucks. Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night feeling like that /:
