Slight spotting

Hey ladies! I'm 34 weeks pregnant and today when I went to the bathroom to pee, when I wiped, I was slight spotting. No mucous or anything, just some darker red blood. My husband and I have not had sex in like a week (sorry TMI) and nothing has changed. I called the doctor on call and am waiting on a call back. Is this normal? Sorry, I'm a first time mom and freaking out!
