Period/Pill

I've been taking my pill faithfully and on Thursday I missed it. It was a fourth week pill (aka one without the hormones). I got my period yesterday, I can't be pregnant. I was supposed to refill my pack but I left town while the pharmacy closed. Now I only have til Wednesday and then I'm out. Is the pill still going to work if I go back to my hometown and get the new pack? Or can I wait til saturday to go back, and schedule an appointment with my doctor?
