So,I'm 24 weeks and I casually mentioned my baby shower to my mom and sister..asking when an appropriate time to do it would be..and my mom shut me down, big time! She said that she will not do a baby shower and that they're stupid. "I never had a baby shower...its only recently that people started having them..blah blah" I was so upset! She was like, if people want to give you a gift, they will give you one. All of my cousins had one, my best friend just had one, and it feels like I was stabbed in the heart! I told her how I felt and she just brushed it off...I am trying not to cry writing this! My mom and I have a good relationship, so I just don't get it. I don't know what to do..it took me 2 1/2 years to get pregnant through fertility treatments, so I just want the whole pregnancy experience...my mom says I'm being selfish..😥😥
