Schedule dates?

I'm 35 weeks today.  My EDD is 7/26 but since I have gestational diabetes they won't let me go past 39 weeks.

I've been in L&D probably once a week for the past two months due to everything from contractions caused by an UTI to contractions and vomiting caused by an irratable uterus.

I'm already on moderate bedrest at home and my doctor has threatened hospital bedrest if things keep happening.  I have an appointment today and I'm thinking about asking him when they will schedule either my induction date or csection (I have other complications that mean I probably will end up having a csection anyway).

Is it too soon to discuss this or will they even consider it? I'm just trying to be prepared.

I would definitely ask. I'm almost 35 weeks and have been in the hospital 4 times for hypertension and protein in my urine. I asked the midwife a couple weeks ago if they will let me go term and she said no, ideally we will induce at 38 weeks but if I develop preeclampsia, it will be at 37 weeks. But they haven't given me a date yet. I have two NSTs a week until I give birth but they haven't given me an exact date. I am going to ask next week as its getting so close!!

It depends a lot on your doctor and your baby. I'm almost 36 weeks, and at my appointment earlier this week, my doctor said that if labor started right now, they wouldn't try to stop it. My little one is going great, she's a good size, and after this week will likely be developed enough to not require intervention. You still don't want to deliver too early, though. Most doctors, unless there's a serious complication, wait until at least 38 weeks. Like I said, though, that has a lot to do with the doctor and your personal situation.

I'm due on 7/26 also. I am going in next Thursday to talk to my dr. I don't have the complications you have. But baby is measuring big and since I am small he wants to make labor as easy as he can on me .. And doesn't want to risk me not being able to get the big baby out so he said we would talk about inducing dates once he does a final growth scan.

I have GD also. I'm booked into getting induced on the 23rd June but was due on 4th July. 😊

I think it may be too early. Remember that GD babies lungs often develop later.

I have GD & Already had two c-sections so i will be having a scheduled c-section  at 38 weeks  (july 15th)...we set our date when i was 28 weeks

I'm due July 25th repeat csection but my dr scheduled it last week for July 18 because she won't let me go past 39 weeks it was because of blood pressure but that's not a factor anymore now he's just huge lol measuring 9 weeks ahead
