PCOS on 1 side?

Question

Hi everyone. I've just been diagnosed with PCOS, affecting just the right ovary. Will I still ovulate on the left side? My thyroid is also under active for which I take levothyroxine. I'm currently on a period but also missed 2 months previous to this. Can anyone give me any advice, insight or just a bit of hope really as I'm a little devastated.. Thanks X

I was told pcos on one side and micro pcos on other. Had irregular periods...fell pregnant naturally after 18mth trying!!
Dont stress!!! Thats number 1...
I didnt google i didnt read i led life ... im 27 wk now... and nearly 31yrs old. I didnt track ovulation...nothing. i just said if its meant to be it will be..simple as that. good luck to you

I have pcos on both ovaries and an under active thyroid. I've been pregnant 4 times. Keep trying and more importantly try to stay calm as hard as that is stress does so much damage!

You are not alone. I suffer from PCOS, and have had scans done on both sides. Sometimes I'd have a cyst on just one side during a scan, and then other times it's gone.  PCOS does come with some symptoms though, so don't be alarmed. I suffer from amenorrhea, or lack of periods. I was diagnosed with PCOS at age 15 and was just placed on birth control to "help" the symptoms. I stopped the pill over a year ago.  Doctors don't tell you the long term effects of BC and I just wanted to try to regulate on my own.  It seems that you still get a period, though. So don't worry just yet. There are plenty of things you can do to help you, and there's a large community of women who have it. I started taking Vitex Chasteberry by Gaia. It's sold in vitamin shoppe.  It supports hormones naturally. And has been a MIRACLE worker for me. It helped me with my slight acne (from PCOS), and most importantly it helped me get my period for the first time in a YEAR all by myself without hormones. I highly recommend it. But speak to your doctor first to make sure it's okay for you. Doesn't come with side effects, but can be counterproductive with fertility drugs. Again, you're not alone. This isn't something that means you'll never get pregnant or ovulate or get a period. It's just an obstacle that you can overcome. I'm still educating myself on it even today, and I suggest maybe finding a fertility doctor/PCOS specialist who can help guide you. 😘
