Is anyone else just scared their husband is gonna die, leaving you to raise your baby alone?

It's random. But it's just a fear I've always had since I was young. My spouse dying and becoming a single mother. Now that I'm actually pregnant, the fear has heightened.

Yes!!! Or that I'll go to have my baby and something goes wrong and I don't make it and end up leaving my husband and baby. I try not to think like that though.

I'm more afraid of dying in childbirth and leaving my husband to raise the kid alone. If he died he has life insurance so we would be fine financially. And I work from home so I could still raise the child. Obviously it would be horrible, but I'd have his child so his memory would live on.

My husband hasn't died but he may as well of. Completely dropped off the face of the earth (going through a divorce) and all I get is a lousy $15 a fortnight to raise two children on my own, it's hard but possible nothing to fear heaps of single mums out there but I hope this doesn't happen to you x

My husband has just met up with his dad after 12 years of no contact to be told his dad has stomach cancer and skin cancer. This kicked off anxiety and I now have a fear he'll die!?!

My family is insane and all of them are trying to get me to write a will giving my baby up to them in the event that something happens to me or to either if us and I'm not sure that's the right thing to do. As much as I love my family, I only trust one of my sisters and my husband's brother, but everyone wants a piece of my kiddo. Its really pulling me in directions I'm not enjoying.

I do worry now that I'm pregnant with baby number two and he is battling cancer in the hospital. But - he's stubborn and I think he will stick around a while ;)

Yes. I have no idea why. It's just this insane fear of mine. I also get scared that one of my parents will die.

Yes! It happened to my mom with 4 kids. When I was 12 my dad died of cancer and now I've always been worried my husband could.

Us women are bred to raise children. When something goes wrong its our instinct to do all we can for our young.

Now... I fear my husband will pass and leave me alone, but not necessarily scared he is leaving me alone with children to raise on my own. I would miss him more then worry about how am i supposed to raise 3 children on my own. I would worry about how my children felt.

Yes. I think for me it's not so random. I was raised by a single mother because my father died. My stepfather died, too. So part of me is afraid I'll repeat the cycle.
