Daycare kids in home with newborn?

My husband is starting up a daycare. We got handed on opportunity to absorb all the kids where my son currently goes. We had talked about him starting one anyways. My biggest concern that jumped into my head and won't stop bothering me is that I'm pregnant and due October 3rd. I'm worried about having a newborn with a bunch of daycare kids coming into my house. Does anyone have some kind of similar experience with this? Since it would be his run daycare I'm not sure if he can take a leave for a newborn. I will be on maternity leave for the 12 weeks I get so I would be there with the newborn and him and all the kids. Can such a new baby be around daycare kids? Is it too dangerous. What are suggestions thoughts ideas. My mind is racing with this one con of the whole daycare idea. Otherwise we love it he would be home with our children and home nights and weekends. HELP me think since my pregnancy brain isn't helping.

For sure doable and your little one will be immune to so much after it. Lol. But I would be very strict in your policies about no sick children arriving (no fever, vomiting or diarrhea in the past 24hours).

I think it's doable but I would be strict and not accept any children who are not fully up to date with their vaccines. I would also limit time spent with te daycare kids until your newborn has their first set of shots. You don't have to hide away completely but just be aware of any of the daycare kids are under the weather and stay away then. Also enforce hand washing before touching the baby. Besides that you should be ok.

Since you will both be home can you limit the amount of time the baby comes into contact with the kids? I would also be very honest with the parents and just say we have a brand new baby so during this time please keep your children home if they have any symptoms of illness. I can't imagine your husband can close for any extended amount of time because all those parents will find other day cares.
