Hip Replacement?!

Question

So I am bionic woman and had a total hip replacement at 18.  I am now 25.  I've had one Child via c section due to being super scared and we thought he was going to be huge! But he was only 7 lbs. This go around I want a normal birth. Has anyone at all had a hip replacement and had a vaginal birth after? I'm afraid of my hip popping out! What would they do? Just needing to hear some stories of anyone has some!

I had a hip replacement and leg lengthening at 28, and I'm now 31, and we're wanting to start planning for a kid!

I've got a lot of nerve damage in my leg from the surgery, so my affected leg is definitely weaker. I also have osteoarthritis in the knee of the same leg, and my partner is worried about what the strain of pregnancy and birth will do to my leg.

We're kind of lucky in that we emigrated to India, so getting help in the home afterwards, and even a nanny (not if we can help it!) if I'm really struggling in the months after. And my office is happy to let me work from home if I need it. But we're more concerned about the day of the birth, and long-time effects on my body. To me, a water birth seemed like the best idea, as the water will support your body, and you're a bit more free to move your legs into a comfortable (ha! Ha! I wish!) position. But, even though I live in the tech capital of India, there's no water birthing centres in my area (and there's a massive water shortage, so not the most practical idea!), so it's looking like a bed and stirrups, or a C-section, and I would really like to avoid further surgery if I can! (Even from a c-section!)

I think the best person to answer your question would be your orthopedic surgeon along with your OB.
They'd come up with a plan for what's best for you.
