You might even want to try cloth diapers

I wouldn't. Cleaning up poop is awful with pull ups and you will have leakage with a 5mo. Also, they are expensive!

Pull ups are designed to teach young kids the difference between being wet and being dry. They are made so that your child feels uncomfortable after they go in them to encourage them to use the potty instead. Also, I just switched my 2yo daughter to to them to see if they will help her with using the potty all the time, and the smallest size you can get is a 2t, which was a little big on my daughter, and would definitely not fit a 5mo. Try changing the brand of diapers you use, change him more often, or find a cream that will help.

Cloth diapeys!! They are a hassle at first but you won't regret doing them! They're cheap, affordable, and so much better for rashy babies!

I use A & D ointment every time I change my baby boys (5 months) diaper and he has never had a diaper rash. And we tried 4 or 5 different diaper brands before we found the best brand for him.  Just get samples for different brand till you find what works best for you.

I would try a different brand of diapers. Vaseline was rid great for diaper rash.

No. PULL UPS ARE NOT DIAPERS! I had this talk with a boy I daycares mom a few days ago. He kept getting rashes because she kept putting him in pull ups and he's almost 2 but not potty training so she onky sends 5 a day and uses them like diapers. They are not like diapers. They don't pull all the moisture away from the skin because it's to teach kids that they peed and now they're a little wet so they're encouraged to go to the bathroom.

you should gently suggest that she try huggies easy up diapers and see if the rash goes away because you've heard that pull ups stay wet against the skin to teach the kids that they're wet and what the sensation of peeing means. it took a few times of me saying basically that to his mum for her to agree to try the easy ups. now he doesn't leak during his naps either.

Yes! I work at a daycare and I hate this! The mom can't figure out why her daughter gets so "rashy"

Maybe try butt paste for the rashes

I had to potty train my daughter at a little under a year because she was allergic to everything. I will use cloth diapers with this little guy and attempt elimination communication.

When I was a baby my mom had to change my diapers to huggies because I would break out in rash to every other brand
