Can a chihuahua and a guinea pig get along?

Question

I just got a guinea pig today. And my dog doesn't look like it wants to attack it. She seems like she wants to play with him and thats what my brother thinks too. She doesn't bark at it and doesn't look aggressive she keeps wagging her tail as she looks at my guinea pig. My dog will be two years old next month. Can they get along? 
And is there a way to stop a guinea pig shedding?

I have a chihuahua who was best friends with my ferret so I'm sure you could socialize them!

I'm sure they could if introduced well. My chihuahua treated my two rabbits like her babies. Cleaned them and everything.

It all depends on the dog really. I have a pit bull that loves my Guinea pig. She licks her and trys playing with her.

I have a chiuahuah poodle mix that is obsessed with small animals like hamsters and bunnies and mice. He loves them and cries to play with them and the odd thing is he isn't a very friendly dog.

Yup , my chihuahuas get along with any and all animals big or small. My cats and them play all the time they love our saint bernard. They go snuggle  with our rabbit . Just put the two together and sit there on the floor with them .. see how it goes.
