Constant cramps :(

I posted earlier because after an entire night of what felt like menstrual cramps, I went to my OB only to be told that my cervix is long and close and baby hasn't dropped yet... which is good but now I am over 24 hrs of this CONSTANT CRAMPING and it hasn't eased up at all. It literally feels like I'm on a heavy period. I feel so lousy and never felt like this with my first. It just hurts :( any one else experiencing this? Could labor be coming even though my cervix is unchanged and baby has yet to drop? I just can't imagine this cramping for 4 more weeks...
