Ultrasound

How long do ultrasounds last with a tech? I feel like mine was super short the lady only said a few words to me and was very short. First she was running test on the screen and I couldn't seen anything for 5 or so minutes . Then when she finally turned the screen toshow me my baby  I say it lasted for 1 minute and she turned the light on and that was it. I just feel like it should've been longer or is that typical ?
