Sleeping positions??

I'm 8 wks 4 days and am confused on the whole sleeping position issue. My first prenatal appt is in 2 weeks. I've heard left side laying/sleeping throughout the entire pregnancy is best, I've heard left side after first trimester is best, and I've heard left or right side is best. So confusing! Can anyone clarify for me? How do you lay down or sleep?

Blood flows to your heart through the right side, so sleeping on your left or back is "optimal".  I'm in the habit of sleeping on my left with a pillow between my legs from my first pregnancy...after about 28 weeks half of my body would go numb if I slept on my right side and flat back wasn't usually comfortable.

I'm 10 weeks and I sleep on both sides I never looked up how to sleep I just know not to sleep on belly

I'm 9 weeks and still sleep however I want. I will make an effort to stop sleeping on my back in the second trimester. I've heard left side is best as well but I think my doctor just said on your side.
