Self weaning??

Question

How do you know when your child is trying to wean themselves from breast feeding??? My son is only 3 months but I've noticed that he will feed for a little but after a couple minutes he will fight and scream to get off the boob. I hope he isn't but I just want to know from you ladies what self weaning is! 😊😊😊

He wouldn't be self weaning at 3 months. Most toddlers wouldn't self wean until they hit 2-3 at least if they were allowed to. Kellymom.com is a good resource. Just keep offering him the breast. Good luck mumma x

Self weaning would never happen at 3 months. Are you burping regularly? He could have an air bubble or gas that is causing discomfort while nursing. Or he could just be going through a growth spurt, which tends to make baby fussy at the breast. If he seems ultimately happy and is gaining weight, I would not worry. 12 weeks/3 months is a typical time for a growth spurt. Their little bodies are going through so much, it's normal to go through periods of fussiness. Good luck mama!
