Midwife didn't believe me 🙊

Alice
So, here is my birth story. My baby girl was due Sunday the 5th June. We tried everything we could to get labour going. But nothing worked. On the Tuesday morning i woke up with period pains which weren't too bad and faded after a few hours. Later on pains and tighten in my back started. I spoke to my mum who said that contractions can start in the back but when it reaches the front that's when it's the real thing. So all day it was getting stronger and stronger in my back, I rung up the hospital to see what to do. Went to hospital at 6 in the evening and I was hooked up on a monitor for an hour and they said it's just slow labour and to go home till its stronger and more intense. I went home and that's when it got sooooo much worse (still contractions were in my back) i held out as long as I could at home but a few hours later I said to my husband 'we have to go back, this pain is unbearable' even though I was told it's not labour till I feel contractions not just in by back.
I got to the hospital about 2 in the morning on the Wednesday, hooked up on the machine and one of the midwives said she'll check to see if I am dialated, she thought I was in slow labour because i was still so calm, turns out I was 7cm lol. Think I was  finally taken to the delivery suite about 3 maybe 4. From there it was the most painful thing ever. I wanted to have as little pain relief as I could. I ended up using gas and air which I felt like it didn't help only made me feel worse everytime I had a contractions. I was sick a couple of times. After being in the room for 2 my body was telling me to push. I was told not to push just yet and to fight the urge. It was so difficult to not push. The urge to push was overpowering so I told the midwives I'm going to start pushing and the all rushed to me. My waters broke all over them lol. After 4 pushes I was told that she's going to need some help to come out and use a ventouse.  I gave one last push...and there she was, my beautiful baby girl that I've been praying for. She arrived Wednesday 8th June at 6:25am weighing 6lb 4.
