This is my birth story
I've been so busy since she was born I haven't had time to sit and post.... my due was 4/23 and I tried everything days before to help start labor, I was so over being pregnant and wanted her out already. Despite my efforts she wouldn't come so I gave up and realized she would come when she wanted to. The morning of the 23rd came and my husband joked saying wouldn't it be funny if she came today on her due date. I laughed saying ya right but that's probably not gonna happen. We went about our day like normal and it was close to dinner time, I told my husband to go get the stuff for tacos. Seconds after he left I used the restroom and once I got up my water broke. I called him telling him that it broke but not to worry as it usually takes a lil while, he was in a panic saying he was coming home cause I couldn't cook. I laughed told him he was crazy and that I could but to just hurry home cause I wanted to cook so I could eat. (Pregnant fat girl problems lol). About 5 min after hanging up the contractions came on full force back to back lasting about a min long and coming back at about 30 secs after it would die down. So I paced around the house asking the kids to be quite that I was in labor. Well let's just say they couldn't be quite and was excited they followed me around like a puppy. I decided to go outside for quite time and as soon as I sat outside in chair the contractions got worse pain wise and I almost couldn't talk thru them. I called my husband told him to get home now, he asked if I could hold on a few more min he was grabbing the pizza. I cried and told him to just hurry. He showed up 10 min later, and started to get things ready kids, towels, pool. (Planned home birth). All I remember is yelling to him to hurry up with the pool. He tells me don't u have that baby outside lol. So I figured I needed to go inside. Pool was blown up and he was hooking the hose up. I went to stand up from chair and dropped to my knees, the pressure below was so intense, I thought she would just drop out, so I crawled to the step and stopped, I knew she was coming. I reached down and felt her head crwoning. So I held her head in, I did not want to have her outside. I kept telling myself nope not here baby not here, and as well all know babies have a mind of there own. I managed to get right inside my front door by crawling in and sat on the floor. Husband is running around like a chicken with his head cut off, lol so all the planning didn't help much for him. Kids surrounded on the couches watching me sitting on the floor. I had my pj's on rocking trying to keep her in so the pool could get filled up, husband ran to the bathroom cause something wasn't right with the hose and I yelled she's coming, he yells back no not yet not yet lol. I knew I couldn't keep her in any longer I got on my knees and my body pushed her out in one push. I pulled this sweet lil girl out of my pants and sat back down. Kids faces were priceless. Yelled telling him she's here and he runs like crazy saying no... no she's not.... lol. She turned the corner and was in so much shock. Asking what does he need to do, I told him umm well get me a towel or blanket she's cold.. (calm as can be) while he is a nervous wreck. My 4 yr old asked how in the world did I do that. He still thinks I did a magic trick cause I pulled a baby out of my pants lol. All this happened in a short time, start to finish 45 min!!! She came into the world healthy with plans she would make an entrance and boy did she ever. She weighed 8 pds 11 oz 21 in long. I still can't believe I had her at home on the floor and on her due date. Goes to show our babies definitely know what it's doing if we just allow it to do its job.
