Does anyone know why doctors want us, or maybe just some of us, to wait 3, 6, or 12 months after a miscarriage to try conceiving again?

I'm 3 weeks out from my second mc, just ovulated last night, and my doctor wants me to "wait 3 normal cycles." I don't get it. We've been TTC for 9y7m. My body has healed from the mc. Our hearts are still a little raw, but OK most of the time. Why wait? Why? Especially when there was a study that showed conceiving within 6 months of a mc resulted in an easier/healthier pregnancy than those who waited 12 months...? And I've heard, but can't substantiate, that the first 3 months or so after a mc are the most fertile we'll ever be. After nearly a decade of TTC, shouldn't we be trying NOW? Can anyone, please, explain the logic of waiting to me?
