Ovarian Cysts

Anyone that's had ovarian cysts, can you please give me some insight on how your experience went? I have one on my right ovary but have this killer sharp pain on my left. I went to the hospital and all they said my system was backed up and gave me laxatives. I know they can be nothing to worry about but they doctors were confused on why I had pain on the left when the cyst is on the right
