Medium rare steak?!

My parents are taking us out to an expensive steak house tonight for my birthday. I love medium rare and always ate my steaks that way. I know there's a warning about eating raw things and listeria but was thinking it would be fine because of the high quality meat at this restraunt. Would you risk it or not?

You can eat medium rare steak while pregnant. As long as the outside is fully cooked and heated to over 175 degrees all bacteria is killed. So no harm!! Deli meats are also safe and subway. A can of tuna every few weeks won't kill you as well. Just a few things to keep in mind. Same rule of thumb for hot dogs and smokies since it is summer time. Have fun and eat well!!

Keep in mind....woman have been having babies for years. They and their babies have survived eating some pretty questionable things. Lol. I say if it bothers you...don't eat it...if  it doesn't then go ahead.

I always do med rare but bc I'm pregnant I got with medium to be safe :) it's all in my head

I only eat my steaks rare (anything more than that and I can't enjoy it!). You are fine on steaks any bacteria is on the surface so that's killed when it's seared...you only need to worry about ground beef being cooked more thoroughly.
