I don't know how to tell what's my cervix in there?

Please don't judge I just never did before and I'm confused. I am 8 days away from AF where would it be? The doctor once told me that my cervix is very high it's why my son couldn't be born naturally. .can I even do this check on my own since alot of times the doctors really have to go digging in there and sometimes they don't even find it? I don't know why but that makes me embarrassed because why is it so high? Can it be why I haven't been pregnant since my son? Does a really high cervix mean I'm abnormal??
