Drying up milk supply

Mallory
I would like to know from all the formula feeding mommies how they got their milk to dry up. My milk came in last night and holy painful. I already have cold wet cabbage in my bra. I have two bras on that make it tighter but I feel like the engorgement and pain is just increasing.... :/ anyone else have any suggestion. And how long did it take for the milk to dry.

It took 7 days to dry up mine, cold cabbage leaves, ibprofin, tight sports bra at night and during the day. I never pumped to relieve engorgement, but I did lightly massage them to prevent clogs.

Was wondering if you remember how long it took for the enforcement to go down? I’m currently on day 3 and still in pain. 😩😩

Anything OTC psuedoephedrine in it, sudafed, cold ice packs, not letting hot water touch your breast when showering, the tightest bra you can find, dont pump, cabbage leaves, sage tea. You can also take Ibuprofen for any pain you may have. These are what fellow FF moms used. I FF all three of my babies from day 1 but never had to use any of these to dry my milk up, My milk didn't let down and I wore tight sports bras throught the pregnancy and immediately after birth.

I believe you can take cold medicine. I just dealt with it. You can hand express or pump just a little to take some pressure off.

Ibuprofen, two bras and ace bandage them tight. That's what I did when mine came in. Took about a week for it to go away.
