When your SO cusses out??

Hey guys, I just want to know, how do you respond, if, or when, your significant other cuses you out? Is it something you just overlook? Is it something that goes along with fights if you have any? Or is it something that's a deal breaker? I've had a past with verbal abuse, so I'm a little more sensitive to it than most, but I want to know what is acceptable to the majority of the ladies out there

If it suddenly happens, and it's unusual .. It's usually an underlying issue .. That's when you get him to TRY and talk, see what's bothering him . If it's an every day lash out over something stupid .. Then yeah, it's a deal breaker .

The first time he did that I walked away. Ignored him for a whole week. He started going nuts and apologized everyday. I blocked him on my phone so he was writing me emails/books lol. But I thought him a lesson. He never did it again

My boyfriend always feels terrible afterwards considering I get really upset. Yesterday he broke down crying hysterically about how he feels bad for taking out his stress and anger out on me like that. Made me feel kinda bad afterwards

My boyfriend never really "cusses me out" but he cusses towards me. And I have told him it's wrong. He shouldnt talk to me like that. So now that he knows it hurts my feelings, and that I've told him it really looks bad on him. He always thinks twice about what he is about to say when heated or angry. (Which is great because men never think before speaking!!) hahaha. I would just tell him that it bothers you and my trick was as soon as I heard the cuss word come out of his mouth I would instantly drop whatever we was fighting about (if necessary) and go straight to the fact that he cussed at me. Saying something like "so now you gotta start cussing" or "do you really think that was necessary to talk to me that way?" (I never ever cuss at him, so if you're upset that he does it just tell him that you don't talk to him that way so why does he talk to you that way!) it's worked for me and he's now stopped. 👏🏽

I cry very easily and my SO knows this so he's always super gentle with me but there are times when he gets super mad and yells. I have problems with people yelling at me. If you yell at me, 99.9% chance I will start crying. My SO always apologizes right away and tries to make it better. Just don't take it too personally. They're mad and not thinking straight and will regret it later. But also know that this shouldn't be a thing that happens a lot because yelling and cussing at each other a lot can become VERY unhealthy.

Me and my SO don't "fight" we have discussions where we explain what we feel and why. If things get to heated or emotional one of us will ask for a moment to collect our thoughts. But I won't stand for verbal abuse in a relationship.

That's a deal breaker for me. You can fight and argue without calling the other person names and cruel words. My boyfriend has never used a single swear word that's direct at me even when we're fighting. I've also seen my parents fight (very very rarely) and neither of them would ever do that. They've been married nearly 30 years and have had their share of fights so I really don't see cussing out your SO as necessary. You yeah I'd probably leave. I don't feel the need to be hurt over and over again. You can fight without being intentually hurtful to someone.
