Ok, so I'm not saying this to get a lot of responses or even to call anyone out. BUT the number of posts I see regarding infants not wanting to sleep alone and needing comfort and moms being confused on why they won't settle is mind blowing. They're days old and these questions are down right ridiculous. They've been in the comfort of your womb for their entire existence and have NEVER known anything different. Why is it so confusing that they need comfort, don't want to be left alone, and need their mamas to soothe them?!?!?! I understand wanting a moment to use the restroom or just take a few minutes to yourself but to seek advice as to why your NEWBORN won't stay sleeping at a few days old is truly silly to me. "Settle down cobwebs, dust go to sleep. I'm rocking my baby and babies don't keep." Embrace this closeness. Time flies and I promise you that one day in the not so distant future, you'll dream of your baby wanting to be close to you again.
