We were talking about Christianity this morning. I'm a Christian, and she doesn't really know what she is yet. Also, I'm 12 and shes 17 so her arguments might make more sense. Her: "Christianity should be abolished. I don't think that there's some magical guy in the sky that is an excuse for all Christians' stupidity." Me: "Why do you feel this way? I believe in evolution. I believe that lots of things in the bible only slightly happened or not at all. Simply proverbs." Her: "That's a valid argument, however MOST OF ALL Christians like to-" Me: "Sorry for cutting you off but in an argument like this, it isn't wise to generalize. If I start to generalize, just cut me off." Her: "I'm sorry but I think you might just agree with me. Christians use the bible as an excuse for their stupidity because they can't understand science. Like the story Adam and <a href="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.glow.android.eve">Eve</a>." Me: "While that may be true for some people, I think the question with evolution and creationism started because people didn't realize that Adam and <a href="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.glow.android.eve">Eve</a> is really just a proverb to obey God." Her: "At least you're not an annoying religious freak. Your idea of religion is better than most." And then she went downstairs. Sorry for length, but who do you agree with? And yes I'm only 12 but I get into arguments like this with my sister all the time. We got into an argument about what feminism really means too.
