When to set up?

When should I have everything set up for baby in my house? I'm 28 weeks and I think we will start painting the nursery this weekend. I know I have left the nursery late but we had a guy renting from us so I had to wait for him to move out. I am just wondering when I should worry about washing all of the baby clothes and putting them away and setting up my room with the bassinet and the swing in the living room etc. I am done of work at 37 weeks so I will hopefully have a couple of weeks. I don't want to do it too soon but I also don't want to leave it to late.

You never know if your baby will come early or not so it doesn't hurt to get things done as soon as possible. My first came 5 weeks early and thankfully I had finished putting everything together at 34w so it worked out. This time around, I might start even sooner 😊

Once we move into our new place I'll be 32 weeks, and I'm gonna speed set up everything and wash all his clothes just in case. Babies will do whatever they want, and I don't want to end up not having his stuff ready lol.

Do the labor intensive stuff now like the painting only because later in the pregnancy you'll be tired and uncomfortable, so doing these things will be harder. Washing the baby stuff is pretty easy, I just did it now at 35 weeks. I'm getting my carseats installed and inspected next week only because they do it in my area only 1x/month, but otherwise I would have done it last week.

I'm 31 almost 32 weeks and we are just now starting to set stuff up we washed the babies clothes and blankets(the ones we have so far) and set up the swing and stroller and car seat we put the base in the car because our son could come any time between now and his due date
