Does it ever get better?

I miscarried at 12 weeks at the end of February. I still have awful days where my emotions get the best of me and I can't peal myself off the floor, I cry uncontrollably... Will it ever get better

I am so sorry for your loss. I miscarried twice last year and it was so so hard. It does get better. The pain is still there are there is always the thoughts of 'my baby would have been this old today' or what have you but I think as you go along you find better ways to handle it. However, letting that sadness consume you so completley isn't healthy. Maybe find a group of Mom's who've been in the same situation to talk to could help, or even talking to a therapist might help you process. Regardless, don't let people tell you it wasn't that big of a deal. Losing a child at any stage of their life is a terrible ordeal. A mother is a mother with that first positive test. That can be hard for so many to understand. Best of luck to you!

I know it doesn't feel like it, but of course it will! I am so sorry for your loss. I lost a baby girl at 13.5 weeks in Oct. 2015. It was really rough for a couple of months, but I had to just make myself accept what I couldn't change and move on. I also made a conscious effort to be grateful for the things I had instead of dwelling on what I lost. I still miss my baby girl and I will always wonder what she would have been like, but it is not holding me back anymore. If you still feel so devestated after a few months, which is totally understandable, you may want to consider counseling. The social worker at the hospital when I miscarried told me that women who suffer losses are at higher risk for post-partum depression. I have read posts by several women who sought counseling after a loss who said it really helped them work thru it, and there is absolutely no shame in it. I hope you start to feel better soon!
