Age difference relationship

So I'm 18 turning 19 this year, and this guys always been a family friend. He's 30. He was married and got into a divorce because his wife cheated on him. I helped him around his house every once in awhile and then we started texting and now we're like dating. Am I doing the right thing, or too old? Help
