Contractions

I don't know what regular labor contractions feel like. Only the pitocin kind. I keep feeling extreme pressure in my very lower stomach and top of my public area and it goes away. Is this a contraction?  It's painful but not unbearable. My dr did a second sweep today and I'm being induced in a few hours but I can't sleep becuase of these pains and wondering if they are contractions.
