It won't make you bc ineffective. It can mess with your cycle still. But if you're on bc and using it correctly then there is absolutely no need to take plan b. For example only take plan b when on the pill IF you've messed up taking your pill (by more than 2 late pills or 1 missed pill) in the last 7 days of active pills. Otherwise you're fine.
