Advice, Help, Prayers....
I'm currently 18w 2d my baby boy was measured at 18w 4ds yesterday and 8oz putting him 3days ahead of time and due date between 11-24/11-27.
The tech informed me that the placenta is laying against my cervix and she's very worried. I was repeatedly if I was bleeding any and I said I was the first 3weeks of my pregnancy but it stopped.
My OB came in and told me I have "Placenta Previa". Which my best guess and basically told the placenta is dangerous close to the opening of my cervix. Although its closed I could go into preterm labor anytime and possibly lose my baby.
I'm going into the Internal Fetal Medicine tomorrow per doctors order for a second opinion and scan. It told me if the placenta doesn't migrate to the right area they will have to take him by c-section. Not an option for me as I've had two surgery as is in less than 4 months before I got pregnant.
I'm scared of both c-section and losing him if I opt out of doing the surgery. I was told I got til 28w before they worry because I'd it doesn't move by then it's not going to. I was told I'm still early and have time. I don't want the surgery because I'm high risk for infection and don't recovery very well from them. Took almost 4 months just to heal half way from the gall bladder surgery which was emergency surgery and done in Oct last yr. And I'm still recovering from lap band surgery from Jan. Wasn't planning to get pregnant because we were told I couldn't have kids due yo excessive scaring on my cervix and ovaries and his sperm court being below normal and abnormal sperm.
I lost one son to miscarriage in 2007. I can't handle another lose. This is and will be my last child. Is there anything I can do to help migrate the sac where it should be? Doctor says no just rest and relax but I can't ya know!
