Is your LO going down for the night on their own?

Question

Hi everyone! Just wondering if your LO is going down for the night on their own or do they still need to be rocked/put to sleep by mom/dad? Our LO is almost 7 months and rarely falls asleep on her own so most nights we still rock her to sleep. If your LO is going down on their own I would love some tips that you used to get them self soothe until they fell asleep.

I did gradual sleep training. At 2 months, I started making sure his bedtime routine was exactly the same: nurse, wake up, story, song and rocking, bed. At 3 months, I made SURE he was awake for the story and song. I also do diaper change/sleep sack, then story, song and bed for nap times, so it's always the same routine. 
I always made sure to wake him a bit so he was being put down drowsy but awake. At 6 months, we did actual CIO sleep training because I knew he was capable of self soothing. Now I can lay him down completely awake after the sleep routine and he puts himself to sleep within about 10 minutes. He generally doesn't cry though he may fuss a bit.
It was a gentler sleep training, but I think it was SO important for us.

I only had to rock minea handfull of times.... Or I would have her nap on me during the day.... But for nights I never really had anything to do. Just put her in her crib.... If she doesnt fall asleep within a few minutes (i watch her on the monitor, usually doesnt cry just rolls around) i go give her a bottle while she stays on her back in her crib. By the end of the bottle she usually just turns her head away, give her a soother, and she's out for the night. Sometimes whines in the middle if the night... Go in her room to give her soother  and shes out again. Sometimes wakes up around 6am, change her diaper, give her another bottle and I can sleep till about 9am. I make sure she doesnt have more than two naps a day and never later that 4:30-5pm.....   Bed time is when she starts rubbing her eyes around 6:30-7pm

We do bath w/ Aveeno Calming Comfort Bath, followed by the same type of lotion, then 7oz bottle with his fisher price calming vibrations soother and he's KO by the time he finishes his bottle. I lay next to him while he drinks it but don't need to shhh, carry, or rock him.
