Anemic and pregnant?

I found out this morning that I am anemic...I don't have this when I'm not pregnant and I'm wondering if anyone has any advice. I'm going to take the iron supplements recommended of course, but any further advice would help settle my worried mind. TIA!

I have chronic anemia. I would suggest skipping the supplements for right now and really try upping the amount of greeny leafy veggies you eat- spinach, kale, etc. Try a spinach fruit smoothie every morning. This should raise your iron even more than the supplements do, and you won't be constipated. Iron pills will make you miserable as far as pooping goes.  Try veggies for a month, then get your iron rechecked and see where you are.

I've always been anemic & since I started taking iron supplements I felt so much better! I felt like I had much more energy. They have never made me constipated & as long as I take the supplement every day I have no problems.

I'm anemic as well and I've just been taking the supplements. I've had a lot more energy since taking them and my nose bleeds have stopped!

Be prepared to not poop lol if your iron gets too low they'll do a blood transfusion anyways
