Membrane sweep!?

Got my membranes swept today at 39 weeks. Has anyone reading this have this done before? Did it work for you?

It worked for me with my last baby. I had a sweep done at 37 weeks due to a large baby. After the sweep I went shopping, relaxed for a little bit because contractions started then walked some more. My daughter was born 24 hours after the sweep. She was 9 lb 6 oz 21 inches long at 37 weeks gestation

I'm 39 weeks today and got it done yesterday. I lost my mucus plug (no blood) last night. Still waiting to see if anything happens.

Mine were swept last Wednesday and I went into labor Thursday night and had baby Friday night. :)

Got one today and i think contractions are starting

Worked for me with my last baby. First try. Did it at 41 weeks and had baby 17 hours later. I felt yucky immediately and for 6 hours then contractions started. I was barely barely 1 cm dilated when my doc did it.

Got mine done last Friday it was pretty uncomfortable and it didn't work for me

Didn't work with my first child back in 2009, but hopefully they do it at my appointment next Wednesday and it works!! :)
