Leaking amniotic fluid?!

Hi ladies--
I'm a FTM...was talking to my mom about the constant discharge that comes with being pregnant and she mentioned that it could be amniotic fluid. It scared me so bad! It's thick and white, like ovulating kind of discharge. I googled what amniotic fluid would look like and it said to lay down for 30 minutes, stand up, and if it feels like a waterfall then it's probably fluid. I'm 13 weeks and 3 days. Any advice or words of wisdom??

Thick white is normal. Regular fluid us clear and runny, like water :) you will hear a ton of things from people that may be scary.  Take them with a grain of salt. If you ever really feel a problem,  call your dr. They are used to us crazy mamas😄

That is normal discharge you're having. So unless you have a rush of fluid like what it said when you researched it, you're fine . :)

Thick and white sounds like it's probably regular discharge. However, if you're really concerned you should call your doctor just to be safe.

My doctor told me amniotic fluid is clear and not thick in any way. I was worried about the same thing. My doc said it will literally feel like you peed yourself and that you will know when it comes. I wouldn't worry (: you can always call your doc if your worried.
