Placenta issues

My husband and I just had the anatomy scan on Monday and they found I have a condition with the place ta called velamentous. I was wondering if anyone has dealt with this before and if it affected the baby or labor in anyway? My doctor says not to worry that most likely everything will be fine, and thats great but id still like to know im not alone and that someone whos been through can tell me they know it will be ok. Thanks!
