Letrazol, what would you do!?!?

Ok so currently I'm not going to my fertility doc because my thyroid isnt under control. I'm just waiting for a blood draw and a doc appointment to tell me what my levels are at. So any who I have letrazol sitting at home not being used since we canceled my last IUI. Would it be bad if I took it this cycle? And I forget what day you're supposed to start, I believe it's the 3rd after your period. So say I took them for how ever long I'm supposed to take them for, do my pee sticks to see if im ovulating, baby dance and wait two weeks. Would this be bad?? Would you do it your self? (it's been 9 months since my last iui and I'm desperate) Would this affect anything?
