Acid reflux/heartburn

Is anyone on a prescription for acid reflux/heartburn?? I've been taking Zantac and drinking milk but even when I do when I try and sleep it gets worse and sometimes I'll wake up coughing on my own spit and I know it's from the acid. I was really hoping Zantac was going to work for me, but it seems like I need to take something stronger. I go to the doctors next Tuesday and was wondering what are some prescription medicines they can put me on.
