Preeclampsia

Laura
*trigger* Mentioning of stillbirth/preeclampsia. My great grandmother had a late term stillbirth of twins. They didn't tell her whether or not it was caused by preeclampsia. She then went on to have 5 normal pregnancies. One was when she was in her 50's! My grandma (one of my great grandmothers daughters) had a normal pregnancy and delivery with her first child (my mother) and had preeclampsia with my uncle, who was born premature. My mother had preeclampsia while pregnant with me, (her first child), I was born premature around the same time gestation as my uncle (32 weeks). She then went on to have a low risk pregnancy and delivery (vbac) with my sister. I never showed any signs of preeclampsia with my son. My cesarean was due to him being breech and severely low fluid at 37 weeks. I'm currently 23 weeks, no blood pressure problems so far. They'll be checking my fluid at my next ultrasound. I know preeclampsia is hit and miss, but I'm wondering if anyone has experienced having genetic preeclampsia, or didn't experience it and it was in their family line pretty prominently.
