Anyone ever been induced early bc of baby's weight?

Has anyone in here ever been induced early because of their baby being bigger? I'm gonna be really upset if I can't deliver naturally because of his size

With induction your c section risk actually increases. "Big baby" isn't much of a reason to induce or have a c section since most of that time the baby isn't as big as they thing. Ultrasounds & fundal heights can be off by 2-/+ lbs

Yes and I wouldn't agree to it if I could do it all over again. Dr insisted that my first was going to be 10+ lbs based on ultrasound and induced me at 40+3 because she thought I was going to be at risk of having a c-section based solely on size if not. I didn't want to do it and thought that he should've been given a week extra to come on his own. I wasn't afraid of having a large baby and wanted an all natural delivery. He ended up being 8lb 11oz which is not huge at all to me. My due date estimates were even a week later than there's based on when I knew I could've conceived. The late ultrasounds are so inaccurate also. Wish I would've followed my instinct and waited a bit longer. He wasn't ready. As a first time mom I didn't know what to do but this time he's cooking for as long as possible dammit!

I had two inductions because they were afraid baby was getting too big. One at 39 (baby was 7lbs 2 oz) and one at 37 weeks (baby was 7lbs 8oz). So both times the baby size was off from what the ultrasound said. Both came naturally being induced, no c-section. My son didn't even tear anything so I didn't take a single pain med after delivery. While inductions are more painful (man...you can tell the difference between a pit contraction and a regular one) they didn't end up in c-sections for me. I'm on schedule to have another induction this third and final pregnancy although I'm hoping I got naturally to avoid that pictocin. Everyone has a completely different labor experience. Both my children came fast once they decided to come. I was just 5cm dialated with both and went from that to a baby in my arms within 15 minutes. I have always wondered if I would go really fast naturally if I was given the chance.

At 33+4 my girl weighed 6 pounds even. She's measuring 15 days ahead (so 35 weeks and 5 days at the time) and he's still not inducing me!! 
I'm 4'10, too. So I've got that advantage *sarcasm* haha 
He told me that I could have her in 2 to 3 weeks or could just have a big baby. He even told me he would let me go over my due date because "6-8 ounces in a week doesn't really make a difference during delivery" and he doesn't think a c-section is necessary unless she seems closer to 10 pounds but that he will monitor during labor and see if he thinks I need one. But I'm going to ask him at our next exam about getting induced at 39 weeks so that I have a better chance of delivering naturally. I'd rather deal with the extra pain than have her get stuck or have her collarbone broken!

I was induced because my baby was smaller than usually. They thought she would be in the 10th precentil, she was on the 25th precentil and fine at 37w5d. No NICU needed.
