Just a reminder about 'rude' people
I see a lot of posts on here about how rude other people can be to pregnant women. Whether it's touching your bump without permission, commenting on your bump size or criticising a name that's on your list. It's worth remembering the following:
1. More often than not, people are just trying to be nice. They ask questions to make conversation and to seem interested. They touch your bump because it's fascinating to think there's a life inside there. They comment on your bump size just to acknowledge it as they don't know what else to say.
2. Unless you've been pregnant before, you don't realise how annoying things can be. Before I was pregnant, I'd always ask people what names they like and I'd say which ones were my favourite and make suggestions. Now, the name conversation makes me so angry and I hate hearing peoples opinions on my choices. It's something I'd never even have thought about when I was on the other side as 'that person'.
3. pregnancy usually makes you more sensitive. Things seem like a bigger deal than they are. Take a deep breath, calm down and remember that there are more important things to worry about than a strangers (well intended) comment.
