My mom works at a nursing home . She said it's this one old lady that's always sitting at the window waiting for her kids . It turns out her kids and husband all died on a car accident 30 years ago .She sits there everyday and waits. Is the lady still stuck in the past or what is it ??

Severely traumatized but more then likely dementia/ Alzheimer's

She probably has short term memory loss as do most nursing home patients.
