Referral, what next ? 🌸

Hi everyone, my husband and I have just been referred to the IVF clinic and just awaiting our letter for our first appointment. How long is the wait normally for the first appointment and what can we expect next? Our doctor said it would be ICSI for us, any insite or experiences would be great. Thank you ☺️

In my experience this is how it went. We were referred for unexplained infertility (every single test and bloodwork both of us have had has been normal and had an initial consultation where more bloodwork was recommended, another sperm analysis, (I had an HSG 6 months earlier) or else one of those would have been recommended also. We were told to have all of that done in a week and come back for a "saline ultrasoune" once I started my next cycle. This checked for any and all abnormalities I may have had down there. Instead of that however I was opted in for a new procedure where they took a camera and examined my cervix and uterus for polyps and such. Pretty cool! After that more weeks went by and I then started birth control on my next cycle. 6 weeks later I'm finally starting stims and my retrieval is set for July 14th. Our first appointment with our clinic was back at the end of March.... It's been a long process to say the least and it's going to be. You will no doubt be on birth control for a while and then either on Lupron or more both control until starting stims. I would expect a good 2-3 months before any actual IVF protocol is done. Longer if you haven't had any of the recent tests above done. I wish you luck and hope and patience!
