How long does you baby feed before bed?

I'm EBF and in the evening before bed my lo will start feeding about 7 and feeds till about 930-11, he is 4 weeks old but is a big boy, he weighs nearly 12lb already. Is this normal for him to feed for so long? I feel like he drains me completely before he goes to sleep xx

Mine takes some breaks, but easily actively feeds for an hour and a half at a time, sometimes 2-3 hours before bed. We're starting week six tomorrow. I don't mind since the longer he eats before bed, the longer we get to sleep before our next feed.

My little one usually does the same eats for an hour or more starting around 930. He is 10 weeks tomorrow. Not sure if it's normal or not but I know he's not actively eating the entire time lol some of it is definitely for comfort

My LO needs 5 minutes for each breast, so I should be done in 10 ministers. But, because she drinks so fast I have to keep her up for a longer time because she will get really uncomfortable afterwards and throw up everything if I don't do that.

Every baby is different and there is no right amount of time. If they grow it's (usually) good. That said, I have heard that they drink most of what they need in the first 10 minutes, so that you can give them each breast for 15 minutes and that will be enough. Maybe it's worst a try. Just keep track of your baby's weight.

So glad to hear were not the only ones that baby is doing this! Our son will drunk on and off for about 3 hours before going down for the night! It's as if he knows to load himself up for the night! He then gets 5-6hrs sleep then which is great at 8 weeks in X
