Should I or should I not?

So as we all know tmmrw is the 4th of July. I am a newly mother to a 2 month old and I was wondering if tmmrw at my families get together if me drinking would be okay? I'm not talking about hardcore alcohol but like wine coolers and so forth? Is it bad & should it just be off limits for me? I'm being serious ladies, I need advice on this ...

I say pump some milk for the day & then have a couple drinks 😊 just don't get hammered to the point where you can't take care of your baby. You're allowed to have some fun still 😊

Even if you're breastfeeding it's fine as long as you're not drunk, and that's more so if you are unsteady. Such a small percentage hoes into your milk.

Personally I do not think anyone should be under the influence of anything (unless prescribed medicine from a doctor that does not affect your physical state or mental state to where you can't function properly) and be taking care of a child. Even one drink would be too mamy. Maybe have someone else watch your child so you can drink a little?

I think it's fine. My oldest was 3mo at her first 4th of July, I had a couple wine coolers at the BBQ. As long as you pace yourself, since it's been so long since your last drink, stay hydrated, and make sure your ok to take care of the baby if they need you, it'll be fine. Have fun 😊

Are you breastfeeding? That would probably be the biggest concern.

Go for it! If you're planning in drinking enough to be intoxicated, make sure there's somebody there to help with the baby.

Remember that you'll be a lightweight since you haven't had anything to drink for so long. :-) Have fun.

If your not breastfeeding I don't see anything wrong with having a couple drinks. My first daughter was four months old when I turn 21 and I had a couple drinks. Not enough where I was drunk or even tipsy.
