Can antibiotics for a UTI make you late?

I had a minor UTI. I've been taking Nitrofurantoin for 3 days (on day 3 now). Could this be pushing my period back? My doctor said it wouldn't, but now I'm not so sure.

If your using the pill for birth control antibiotics will counteract it and make it ineffective. So you could be pregnant If you've had sex at all while on antibiotics.

The stress from being sick could delay your period. Usually the antibiotics themselves wouldn't make you late. Make sure you're using a backup form of birth control until one week after your course of antibiotics though.
