Cold medicine I can take????

This is the first time I have been so sick during my pregnancy and im desperate. What cold medicine can i take?? Im so congested and can't breathe, and my throat is killing me. Please help

If you want instant relief there's really nothing you can take my pharmacist recommended Zyrtec and it helped a lot but I had to take it for a week and continue taking it for it to help. You can suck on cough drops and try using a saline nasal spray/rinse to get out the mucus which causes you to cough more then likely!

The regular mucinex in the blue box is what my ob reccomended for me! And I double checked with the pharmacist where I got it and he said it was totally fine also. Hope this helped!

I had the second thing this past week. My doctor told me to take Tylenol cold. It didn't make it go away faster, but it did help ease the symptoms while I had them. All better now. Good luck!

Pregnant or not, I don't take commercially made medicines. I make my own out of herbs and natural ingredients. There are some essential
Oils safe during a normal, healthy pregnancy, but I don't know your medical history so ask your doctor before using any. Google 'essential oils for *whatever your symptoms* For your couch and sore throat, fresh squeezed lemon juice mixed with half water and sweetened with honey. Also, 1 Tbsp honey with 1/2-1 tsp ground cinnamon.

Lots of orange juice, water, cough drops, soup and I like to make warm water with lemon and honey in it. Peppermint oil for congestion and a vaporizer. I never take cold medicine.

Call your Drs nurse line. They will give you a list of safe medications. I was even more limited on what I could take due to being high risk. Also get a humidifier. I've been sick the majority of this pregnancy.
